Kara Isert launched Sparkplug Coffee in 2014 out of a personal quest to share her love of really, really, good coffee, made FRESH at home. Inspired by her vintage Vespa scooter, and a simple belief that everyone deserves an amazing mug of coffee, the brand was born.
As direct-to-consumer company, Sparkplug Coffee is devoted to personalized service, delivering fresh roasted, premium beans, to coffee lovers across North America. On occasion, some customers local to Toronto might also see special deliveries made by vintage bicycle or by Vespa.
Kara is proud of her growing Autopilot Coffee Club, which ensures devotees of roast experiences like: Road Trip, Bullit Custom Dark, Low Voltage or Unleaded Decaf, are all personalized to their individual coffee drinking habits.
Looking for ways to support other women in business, Kara sources Sparkplug Coffee’s cotton, reusable coffee filters from The Regent Park Sewing Circle, a social enterprise supporting new immigrant families. Kara furthers this spirit of community by also offering Sparkplug Coffee fundraising initiatives for schools and charitable organizations, with a bonus feature of custom crafted labels.
Keep an eye out for Kara as Sparkplug Coffee has seen accolades in magazines such as Toronto Life, is the “Official Coffee of the Vespa Club of Canada,” and is the java of choice for various film and TV production crews.
